In October 2022, the TOI team worked hard installing a beautiful new monument for Oroville announcing Oroville's position as the half way point on the Pacific Northwest Trail. The large stone and metal sign in Triangle Park required several days to get all the pieces of the monument in place. If you were around during the install, you may have spotted the TOI with their tractors, shovels and drills getting each piece in place and installing a concrete picnic table. Now all visitors to Oroville are greeted with “Welcome to Oroville Midway Point PNW Trail”.
