Osoyoos Lake is the perfect water sports lake.  It is relatively shallow so that you can walk out 50' from shore and still be only waist deep.  Swimming, boating, skiing, floating.  Don't forget water skiing also on Spectacle lake, and swimming in Blue Lake.

We are midway point of the PNT (Pacific Northwest Scenic Trail).  From Oroville you can hike just a few miles of its 1200 miles.  Going East do the Whistler Canyon Trail  and going west, do the short section called the "Similkameen Trail"  

We have an inordinate amount of public lands:  USFS, BLM, DNR.   Hunters come from all over the state to hunt deer, pheasant, rock partridge, and even Big Horn Sheep. Eder Wildlife Unit  requires a permit
