On Saturday, September 27, the Oroville Initiative hosted a successful Park Clean Up Day. About 16 community volunteers came together to refresh key outdoor spaces, including the Kernan Street Trailhead—an important link in the Pacific Northwest Trail—as well as City Park and the river trail that runs beside Dollar General. The effort not only improved the look and safety of these areas, but also underscored the importance of maintaining trails for residents and visitors alike. Our hope is to see progress on connecting Veteran’s Park to Cherry Street through this trail, creating a stronger, more connected community.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful volunteers who joined us for the Park Clean Up Day. Your time, energy, and commitment made a visible difference at the Kernan Street Trailhead, City Park, and the river trail. Because of your efforts, these important spaces look better, feel safer, and continue to serve as a source of pride for our community. We truly appre

ciate your dedication to keeping Oroville’s trails and parks in great shape and helping us move closer to the vision of connecting Veteran’s Park to Cherry Street. You are the heart of this initiative!
